About the Program
The Build a Robot Program is a school-level experiential learning initiative designed to introduce students to the exciting world of robotics, automation, and intelligent systems by building a Real Robot through hands-on building, guided experimentation, and teamwork.
This program follows a strong learn-by-doing approach, where students actively explore how robots are designed, assembled, programmed, and tested. Learners begin with the basics of electronics and robotic components-such as motors, sensors, and controllers-and gradually progress to programming logic and sensor-based decision making.
Students are introduced to microcontrollers (Arduino or simulation tools) and learn how simple code controls robot movement. With age-appropriate AI concepts, learners understand how modern robots sense their environment, process information, and act intelligently-bridging the gap between hardware and intelligent behavior.
The program also offers exposure to 3D printing and PCB designing, helping students see how real robotic systems are manufactured and improved. Throughout the journey, learners test, debug, and optimize their robots, building resilience and engineering thinking.
Learning happens through team-based challenges, experimentation, and problem-solving, culminating in a final robot demonstration where students proudly showcase their creations.

The programs are designed for school students interested in skill development in areas such as coding, AI, UI/UX, and No-Code Tool. Individual students can apply directly. Schools or school incharges interested in enrolling multiple students can reach out for collaborations.
The programs are conducted in two modes: offline & online over a span of 2 weeks, starting from June 1, 2026.

No, the program is open to all students who register. There is no selection or interview process. After the payment you will be registered in the program (If seats are left).
Yes, there is an optional 1-day campus immersion program for interested students for which charges are extra. This provides an opportunity to visit the IIT Jammu campus for additional exposure. Please note that this is a day visit only; accommodation is not provided.
Yes, upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a completion certificate from IIT Jammu along with I3C, and Techible logos.
There are no specific prerequisites. If there are any, they are mentioned in the individual programs. The programs are designed to cater to students with a keen interest in the respective fields, regardless of prior experience.
Yes, all necessary study materials and resources will be provided to enrolled students.
All necessary software tools will be provided during the sessions, and assistance for installation will be given. However, a laptop/PC with internet facility is required.

The offline program fee includes food and accommodation. No separate charges will be applicable.
However, students are required to arrange their own travel to reach IIT Jammu campus.
Yes, one parent/guardian is allowed to stay in the IIT Jammu hostel which is optional.
The charges for the same will have to be paid by the parent/guardian.
- Students may apply for a refund debore the start of the program.
- After the starting of the program, no refund requests will be entertained.
- A 5% processing charges deduction will be applied to all refunds.
At present, there are no separate scholarships or financial assistance schemes. However, the program fee is already subsidized for the early cohort to ensure broader accessibility. Any applicable fee benefits are clearly communicated on the program page.
After completing the registration and payment process, students can expect a confirmation email or offer letter within a week.
